Grieving Loved Ones

Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a desolate place by himself. - Matthew 14:13

And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces - Isaiah 25:8

Jesus was upset about John the Baptist being beheaded and dying. Jesus knew He would be reunited with His friend, the one who prepared the way for Him, but was still saddened. We all grieve the loss of a loved one. We have confidence that we will see them again but that doesn't mean we do not grieve for the time, hugs, kisses, conversation and the impact of their lives had on ours that were lost when they pass away. It's ok to grieve for those lost but keep living or their impact on your life is lost along with them.
